I cannot rate "The Cabin in Da Woods" and the hosts Sven and Sarah (and dogs) highly enough. It felt like we were staying with old friends.The peace and quiet and of course the view of Table Mountain stood out.Be aware that Sven lives on the top level of the cabin, and is on hand if needed, but also is very respectful of guests privacy. I would stay again without hesitation.

Sven was a great host, very attentive, and the stay was a true experience. He served us a great dinner on the deck, and a simple breakfast in the morning. Getting up the driveway was a bit daunting but well worth the effort to get high up into the tree canopy with an amazing view across the valley to the back of table mountain. It was hard to believe we were in the middle of Cape Town because it felt like we were the only people on the planet - this property and experience offers more than one usually comes to expect from an Airbnb - strongly recommended

What a piece of paradise Sven has . Beautiful surroundings with an amazing hike right out of his back door . Quaint cabin with character and Sven’s breakfast is amazing ! Be sure to book a breakfast with him . Absolutely top shelf with an amazing view . Nice and central with access to West peninsula / Hout Bay and Kirstenbosch and False bay side . The drive way is steep so recommend SUV but Sven offers a pick up at the bottom of the drive if needed . All in all a great stay .

Sven was one of the most hospitable men I've ever met. I'll happily be coming back here to make more of our time in the mountains! My only warning, make sure you've got a decent car that can handle off-road tracks—it's a cabin the deep woods way up in the hills! Well worth it though.

Feeling very lucky and grateful to have discovered Sven's cabin and enjoyed his amazing hospitality on our Cape Town trip. From arranging a cot to accommodate our toddler to cooking the most amazing dishes to enjoying the stunning views of the valley, this was an amazing experience we won't forget!
